Yesterday was the first planning meeting of the EBC Sustainable Marketing Forum! We convened at our member Triumvirate Environmental's offices in Somerville to discuss the Forum's mission statement and plan topics for future meetings. It was a very successful meeting, with a diverse group of attendees with wide areas of expertise.
I think it's going to be a fantastic resource for our members. Mark Campanale, (who is now the forum chair) first brought up the idea of putting the committee together as a way for the EBC community to have access to the latest ideas in Green Marketing techniques, and after yesterday's meeting I can see it expanding into many different directions having to do with branding, new media, networking and using green business practices as a way to promote business.
I came away with several ideas for the EBC's own marketing plan just from that one meeting, (anyone want to tweet with the EBC?) so I'm really looking forward to the next one on December 2nd.
